Oldham Chronicle Offices – Oldham

Project: Oldham Chronicle Offices, Oldham

Value: £2k plus

Programme Duration: 1 week

Scope: The Oldham Chronicle is a large four storey office and paper printing company located in the centre of Oldham. The building was built around the 1940s which has been refurbishment at various stages throughout its history.

Under the control of Asbestos regulations the owners of the site had a legal responsibility to identify and manage any asbestos present on site. As a local company we were brought in to conduct an Asbestos management survey to both of the buildings owned by the Oldham Chronicle. Our surveying team conducted an extensive survey to the property which was live and in full operation minimising disruption to the activities of the work force.

Our survey identified extensive asbestos materials to the site, some of which were in poor condition and following our recommendations a removal project was undertaken to make the areas highlighted safe for occupation.
