Project: Rossendale Hospital
Value: £13k plus
Programme Duration: 3 weeks
Scope: Rossendale hospital was a large former NHS hospital built around the late 1800’s which had been bought by a developer to create luxury homes overlooking Rossendale’s scenery. The site consisted of several two and three storey former hospital buildings with some being vacant for some years and in a poor state of repair.
We were contracted by the developer to undertake a full refurbishment and demolition survey to all buildings over a three week duration. After completion on site the samples taken were sent to an external independent UKAS accredited laboratory for analysis.
The report was issued to our client approximately 7 days after our surveyor left site and they were informed that extensive asbestos materials were identified consisting of both Licensable and non-licensable works.
