Project: HANOVER BUILDING, MANCHESTER
Value: £50k plus
Programme Duration: 4 weeks
Scope: The Hanover Building is a six-storey Victorian built office building central to Manchester city centre. This building was being refurbished into modern office space as part of a regeneration of old buildings adjacent Victoria Station, Manchester.
We had completed works to an adjacent building (Federation building) under the same scheme for the same principal contractor several months earlier when we were asked to complete the works to Hanover. Hanover building is classified as a heritage building and the majority of asbestos was found in ceilings where it was highly important that no damage occurred.
We put together a comprehensive and complex renogram for the building ensuring that none of the original ceilings were damaged. We worked in close partnership with the heritage team and also the client to safeguard all items of the building which could not be damaged.
