Project: KING JAMES ACADEMY – COUNTY DURHAM
Programme Duration: 7 weeks
Scope: We are asked by one of the country’s leading demolition contractors to undertake removal of asbestos from several north east schools that were being deconstructed to allow for a new more modern school. King James Academy was one of these schools.
The school comprised of 2 1960’s two storey classroom & Sports centre blocks.
After the R&D asbestos survey uncovered extensive asbestos materials found throughout the school in the form of column claddings, floor tiles & roofing tiles we were able to allocate significant resources to site in order to complete the 40 enclosures required to safely remove the column claddings.
