Cotton Exchange
Liverpool

We were asked to undertake a rip out of an existing hot water boiler system within the basement of a large GRADE II listed building in the heart of Liverpool. Our commercial asbestos removal work involved a complete strip out of the 4 large boilers and associated hot water pipework designated to be removed and structural openings to facilitate installation of new, larger flue. At the time of the asbestos removal works, the building was fully occupied and in full operations. Our proposal to help maintain complete access throughout the building involved removing the large boiler sections, utilising hoists up to the ground from the basement, allowing for speedy removal from site.
Asbestos gaskets and rope seals were found in a variety of locations which were carefully removed in line with the control of asbestos regulations 2012. Our commercial asbestos removal works were completed on time.
West One
Leeds

We undertook a full non-mechanical deconstruction of a roof plant room within a multi-storey office complex within the heart of Leeds. Due to the occupancy of the building, all commercial asbestos removal works were completed during the evenings to ensure we did not disrupt the ongoing activities of the building.
The works involved complete removal of boilers, associated pipework and installations within the boiler room.
Southern Gateway
Speke

We undertook various asbestos surveys to a large multi-use site in Speke constructed in the 40’s. Upon our survey, we were asked to undertake a comprehensive asbestos removal package for one of the buildings on site, containing Asbestos Insulating Board around a mezzanine office block. We engaged with a scaffold contractor to construct a unique scaffold design which encompassed the whole of the office block to ensure we could put the area under full conditions.
Other works on site included a full environmental clean of a basement area and removal through abrasive cleaning to Asbestos bitumen adhesive within offices.
Manchester Airport – T1

We were asked by Manchester Airport to undertake several commercial asbestos removal projects to facilitate several ongoing projects within terminal 1.
We had to ensure that the asbestos removal works were undertaken within airside operations, guaranteeing that our works did not interfere with the general operation of the airport. Our team made sure that our commercial asbestos removal works were not visible to the passengers coming through the terminal building, and performed daily air monitoring around the work areas, demonstrating that our control measures were first-rate.
All of our staff on site had to undergo rigorous security checks to be able to get airside passes which we completed without complication.
